Baked Apple Walnut Bars

Apple Walnut Bars are an easy dessert with all the flavor of apple pie without all the work. With its thin, crispy top layer over rich apples and cinnamon, this delicious apple walnut dessert is fabulous alone or à la mode.

Gather Your Ingredients

Melt the butter and add the sugar and egg. Beat until well-mixed.

Step 3

Add the apple and nuts to the egg mixture and mix gently.

Step 4

Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and mix well. the batter will be quite thick.

Step 5

Spread the batter into a nine-inch baking pan that has been prepared with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 6

Bake in a preheated 350ºF oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 7

Serve as bars or topped with vanilla ice cream. For an even more decadent treat, drizzle caramel sauce over ice cream.
