Pecan Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream
This traditional pecan pie is full of rich, syrupy pecans in a flaky homemade crust. It’s perfect right out of the oven or topped with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
3
eggs
¾
cup
sugar
¾
cup
white corn syrup
⅛
teaspoon
salt
¼
cup
butter
,
melted
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1
cup
pecans
,
chopped
1
uncooked pie crust
⅓
gallon
vanilla ice cream
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a medium size bowl, beat
3 eggs
thoroughly; add
¾ cup sugar
,
¾ cup white corn syrup
and
⅛ teaspoon salt
; mix well.
Chop
¼ cup butter
into pieces. Add butter and
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
to other ingredients; stir until thoroughly blended.
Place
1 cup pecans
on bottom of
1 uncooked pie crust
.
Pour egg mixture over nuts.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 300°F and cook for 35 minutes.
Serve with
⅓ gallon vanilla ice cream
.
